Tophaceous gout – clinical and imagistic aspect. Case report

Tophaceous nodules can be diffi cult to diagnose when they are the only clinical manifestation of the gout. We present a case with multiple painless tophaceous gout nodules of the right third hand fi nger. The high level of uric acid, the ultrasonographic and radiologic examination established the diagnosis and allowed us to differentiate the lesions from other (kind of
subcutaneous nodules.
